Jaguars Roster Cuts: Jacksonville Gets Down To 75

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Jacksonville Jaguars trimmed their roster down to 75 players on Monday, but didn't really cut anyone to do so. Instead, the team just moved around some injured players on the roster.

Four players -- center John Estes (knee), guard Drew Nowak (foot), guard/center Jason Spitz (ankle) and tight end Matt Veldman (knee) -- were placed on injured reserve.

Fullback Brock Bolen (knee) was waived/injured, and he will also go on injured reserved if he clears waivers.

The Jaguars also shifted John Chick (knee) and linebacker Clint Session (concussion) from the active PUP to the reserve PUP so they did not count among the 75 players on the roster.

The next step for Jacksonville will be getting the roster down to 53 players before the team begins the regular season.
