The Indianapolis Colts made a handful of roster moves Monday, as wide receiver Griff Whalen, tackle George Foster and cornerback Brandon McKinney were placed on injured reserve, and nose tackle Josh Chapman and guard Justin Anderson were put on the physically unable to perform list.

The Colts also announced the following players have been waived: CB Cameron Chism, CB Antonio Fenelus, CB Terrence Johnson, CB Chris Rucker, S Matt Merletti, S David Caldwell, LB Mike Balogun, WR Quan Cosby, RB Alvester Alexander, G Jason Foster and P Brian Stahovich.

The moves came before the NFL's 4 p.m. roster cut deadline, which forces all teams to be down to 75 players.

On Saturday, McKinney suffered a season-ending knee injury in the Colts' 30-17 preseason loss to the Washington Redskins. Whalen was also injured in the loss, as he re-injured a foot that caused him to miss a majority of training camp.

Meanwhile, Chapman and Anderson were both Colts' selections in the 2012 NFL Draft. Chapman, a University of Alabama product, was the Colts fifth-round selection, while Anderson, from the University of Georgia, was taken in the seventh round.
