The Tennessee Titans have sliced down their roster to 75 players, parting ways with quarterback Nick Stephens and a trio of young receivers, among others. With Jake Locker taking over behind center in his second year, veterans Matt Hasselbeck and Rusty Smith will likely constitute the backup depth, leaving Stephens as the odd man out. The former Tennessee Vol never posed a serious threat to Smith during camp, and told the Nashville Tennessean he had no hard feelings about the move.
Here's a complete list of the players cut by Tennessee over the weekend, courtesy of Music City Miracles:
QB: Nick Stephens
RB: Herb Donaldson
TE: Joey Haynos
WRs: Laquinton Evans, Chase Deadder, Marcus Harris
OL Jonathon Palmer
K William Batson
Competition at receiver has been heated as, despite his legal problems, Kenny Britt is likely the No. 1 option for the team, followed by rookie Kendall Wright from Baylor and Nate Washington.
