Wallace and Adams were both undrafted, while Norwood was a fourth-round pick in the 2010 Draft that didn't pan out as the team transitioned to a 3-4 and moved the former linebacker to defensive end. According to Cat Scratch Reader, Rowells' dismissal means that the Panthers plan on making rookie Tauren Poole their third option at running back.
Mare was signed to a $12 million deal last season but missed two crucial field goals in the fourth quarter of two eventual Panther losses. Throughout camp he trailed former CFL kicker Justin Medlock, which ultimately sealed his fate.
