The Detroit Lions placed running back Jahvid Best on the physically unable to perform list Monday, as the team made its final roster moves to adhere to the NFL's 75-player roster deadline. Best, who's still recovering from a major concussion suffered last season, can return after the first six games of the season.
To get to the 75 players, the Lions also put rookie conerback Chris Greenwood on the PUP list, placed offensive linemen Bill Nagy and Jonathan Scott on injured reserve and released wide receiver Dominique Curray and safety Isaac Madison.
Greenwood missed all of training camp after having abdominal surgery, while Nagy was recovering from an ankle injury. Scott was placed on IR after hurting his knee early in training camp.
