Wayne Hunter Trade Puts Another Former Jet In St. Louis

Stay connected with SB Nation

The New York Jets and St. Louis Rams conducted another trade Monday, as the two franchises swapped offensive lineman -- the Rams acquired right tackle Wayne Hunter and the Jets received right tackle Jason Smith, a former second-round selection. The swap marks the fourth time this season the Rams have taken in a former Jets' employee, and the trend is making Gang Green Nation feel a bit sorry for them.

In the end, I really feel bad for the fans over in St. Louis. This offseason, the Rams have acquired Brian Schottenheimer, Matthew Mulligan, Vernon Gholston, and Wayne Hunter. Quite literally, all of our worst players. Hopefully Smith isn't as worthless and hopefully lives up to his first round draft choice. One can dream.
