Dolphins Think Jake Long Sprained His MCL, According To Report

Dolphins' left tackle Jake Long may have suffered a sprained MCL during practice on Monday. An MRI revealed that it was just a sprain, according to the Palm Beach Post. But Long is expected to be ready for Week 1 against the Texans.

Long is unlikely to make the trip to Dallas for the Dolphins' final preseason game, but no parts of the regular season appear to be in jeopardy. Rookie second-round pick Jonathan Martin is making the switch from left tackle to right tackle, but he should see some time at his old position during walk-through sessions, according the Post report.

Depth on the offensive line is an issue for the Dolphins at this point with Lydon Murtha and Nate Garner both missing the last week of practice with injuries. That doesn't look good for a team with a rookie starting quarterback and head coach.
