The Falcons and Jaguars close out their preseason schedules with a Thursday night showdown.
The Atlanta Falcons and Jacksonville Jaguars will try to put the finishing touches on their preseason preparation Thursday night as the two teams face off in both teams' final preseason meeting in Jacksonville at 6:30 p.m.
The Jaguars are coming off of their first preseason loss, a back-breaking 31-point loss to the Baltimore Ravens. The Jaguars had been riding high on two victories to open the preseason on the strength of quarterback Blaine Gabbert and the offense, but a visit to Baltimore put things back into focus for Jacksonville. The Jags fell behind early and were unable to recover against the staunch Baltimore attack.
The Falcons are coming off of a 17-point victory over the Miami Dolphins during which quarterback Matt Ryan continued to live up to the high level of performance he's been giving during the preseason, completing 75 percent of his attempts on the night.
