Newly minted starting quarterback Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks are looking to close out a perfect preseason as the Oakland Raiders come to town.
Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson looks to continue his strong preseason play against the Oakland Raiders as the Seahawks look to close out an undefeated preseason.
Seahawks coach Pete Carroll picked up a lot of flack for choosing to start Wilson over quarterback Matt Flynn, the presumed starter for the Seahawks. Wilson was fantastic in the 44-14 rout of the Chiefs, throwing 13-for-19 for 189 yards and two touchdowns. He also scrambled twice for 58 yards on runs of 31 and 27 yards. Carroll just announced Sunday that Russell will also start Week 1 of the regular season.
The Raiders got their first preseason win against the Lions on Aug. 25 in a 31-20 at home. Carson Palmer continued to struggle a bit, throwing 17-for-26 with a couple of interceptions. Terrelle Pryor only threw the ball five times, but he got 137 yards out of it for a couple of touchdowns. He also ran the ball five times for 90 yards and a touchdown.
