The Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals will wrap up preseason play on Thursday night at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Colts enter with a record of 1-2, while the Bengals are 2-1.
For the hometown Colts, their focus remains on getting Andrew Luck reps with the first-team offense. The No. 1 overall pick has looked good in the preseason and in training camp, although he has still been prone to mental errors that usually result in turnovers or a loss of yards. Fans should also look for Vontae Davis' debut with the team; Davis is projected to be one of the starters in Indianapolis following the trade that transpired with the Dolphins over the weekend.
The Bengals were one of the bigger surprises in the NFL last season and the young team will look to take the next step in 2012. Andy Dalton and A.J. Green are expected to play a series or two this evening, although do not expect much more than that. Cincinnati does not want to accumulate injuries with their projected starters, especially with the regular season a little more than a week away.
