One of the more high profile potential roster cuts on Friday is Miami Dolphins quarterback David Garrard. His status has been up in the air thanks to knee surgery three weeks ago, with most believing he'll be released by the deadline. Ben Volin of The Palm Beach Post thinks otherwise though:

He did follow that up with the nugget that Garrard worked out for the team's coaching staff on Friday morning. It's pretty clear that the Dolphins want Garrard to be on the roster, but his knee injury is seriously complicating things. As recently as a few days ago, Garrard was unable to put much pressure on the knee at all, so it's unclear what workouts he took part in on Friday morning.
There were rumors swirling about Matt Moore earlier in the day, but thus far, he's still on the roster, bringing the total to four quarterbacks, adding in rookie starter Ryan Tannehill and second-year player Pat Devlin. The latter, Deviln, is eligible for the practice squad, so it's possible that the team keeps both Moore and Garrard, with Devlin riding the practice squad if they don't want four quarterbacks on the 53-man roster.
