The New England Patriots will be releasing wide receiver Deion Branch on Friday, according to a report by Adam Schefter.

Following the 2005 season, he held out and was subsequently traded to the Seattle Seahawks for a first-round pick. In 2010, he was traded back to the Patriots for a fourth round pick.

In 2011, Branch registered 51 receptions for 702 yards and five touchdowns in 15 games played.
