The New York Jets announced their final seven cuts Friday night, adding to the 15 waivers made on Friday afternoon, to bring the roster to the league threshold 53-man squad. The 22 Friday cuts:
- Joseph Collins, Wide Receiver
- Paul Cornick, Tackle
- Marcus Dowtin, Linebacker
- Donnie Fletcher, Cornerback
- Terrance Ganaway, Running Back
- Robert Griffin, Tackle
- Frederick Koloto, Guard
- Matt Kroul, Center
- Spencer Lanning, Punter
- LeQuan Lewis, Defensive Back
- Tarren Llyod, Tight End
- D'Anton Lynn, Safety
- Royce Pollard, Wide Receiver
- Julian Posey, Defensive Back
- Jay Richardson, Defensive End
- Eron Riley, Wide Receiver
- Brett Roy, Line Backer
- Ricky Sapp, Linebacker
- Matt Simms, Quarterback
- Hayden Smith, Tight End
- Martin Tevaseu, Nose Tackle
- Jordan White, Wide Receiver
White and Ganaway were two of the final seven cuts, joining the previously released Robert T. Griffin to make three 2012 draft picks who were roster casualties on Friday. All three were drafted in the sixth round or later, but Ganaway was, of course, the only player to score a touchdown for the Jets in their four preseason games.
