NFL Roster Cuts: Chiefs Cut 19 Players, Send 2 To IR

The 53-man roster for the Kansas City Chiefs was announced on Friday night. To get down to 53 players, the Chiefs cut 19 players and put two others on the season-ending injured reserve list.

Players waived:

• Mikail Baker DB
• Josh Bellamy WR
• Rob Bruggeman OL
• Patrick DiMarco FB
• Chandler Fenner DB
• Darryl Harris G
• Junior Hemingway WR
• Jerome Long DL
• Gabe Miller LB
• David Mims OL
• Jamar Newsome WR
• Terrance Parks DB
• Lucas Patterson OL
• Rich Ranglin OL
• Neiko Thorpe DB
• Donald Washington S
• Amon Gordon DL
• Leon Williams LB

Injured reserve

• DeQuan Menzie DB
• Alex Tanney QB

Look for the Chiefs to try to sneak some of these players past waivers and then sign them to their practice squad. Also, look for the Chiefs to look at who is on waivers this week and then make a few more roster moves before the season begins.
