Trent Richardson Could Require Knee Surgery

Cleveland Browns running back Trent Richardson is visiting the legendary Dr. James Andrews on Thursday. Richadson's visit could also include surgery on his knee, according to Chris Mortensen from ESPN.

This is the second procedure in six months that Richardson will undergo on his knee. In February, he had surgery to repair a torn meniscus that kept him out of pre-draft workouts. He had been practicing with the Browns in training camp. Knee troubles flared up again this week, and he was out of practice on Tuesday.

Knee scopes are a relatively minor procedure, but surgery nonetheless. A timeline for Richardon's return has not been established, and probably will not be until he meets with Dr. Andrews and confirms whether or not he needs surgery.
