The Denver Broncos and the Chicago Bears will face off in the preseason opener for both teams on Thursday night. The 8:30 p.m. ET start will be the latest of the six NFL games scheduled for the evening.
Thursday will be America's first chance to see Peyton Manning in a Broncos uniform. After spending last season sidelined with a neck injury, many have questioned whether the veteran will still be his Hall-of-Famer self. We should have much better idea after he goes up against the Bears' first-team defense early in the game.
The Bears, meanwhile, will get to show off their big offseason acquisition: wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Chicago's offense has long gone without a top-flight pass-catcher. They hope that Marshall can help turn a weak spot into a strength with the help of Jay Cutler under center.
