NFL Roster Cuts: Seattle Seahawks Waive Kellen Winslow

The Seattle Seahawks trimmed their roster down to 53 on Friday, but they were not done with roster moves as TE Kellen Winslow was waived Saturday.

Winslow was acquired by Seattle in the offseason from the Tampa Bay Bucanneers in exchange for a conditional draft pick.

The ninth-year veteran out of Miami has a history of causing problems in the locker room, but he has been one of the more productive pass-catching tight ends in the NFL on the field.

The physically gifted Winslow was chosen by the Cleveland Browns with the sixth overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft. He played four seasons with the Browns before spending the last three in Tampa Bay. Winslow has tallied 437 receptions for 4,836 yards and 23 touchdowns in his career.
