A betting preview of Sunday's Baltimore-Philadelphia NFL matchup.
Bettors aren't quite sure what to make of Sunday's Baltimore Ravens-Philadelphia Eagles matchup at Lincoln Financial Field. Both teams won their openers, but in far different fashions: the Ravens blew out division rival Cincinnati, 44-13, while the Eagles just scraped by an unimpressive Cleveland team.
Oddsmakers opened up the Eagles as 1-point favorites, at home. Lines are fluctuating between favoring the home team by a point to giving them 2.5. Baltimore is 4-1 straight up in its last five games; Philadelphia is 5-0 straight up in its last five games, but only 3-8 straight up in its last 11 games at home, and 3-6 against the spread in its last nine home contests.
The over-under opened at 43.5 and has bumped up to 46 at most shops. Both teams feature impressive defenses and potentially explosive offenses -- bettors should note that the total has gone under in six of Baltimore's last nine games, and in four of Philadelphia's last five.
