Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon's status for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams is still up in the air. Garcon injured his right foot in the Redskins' Week 1 win over the New Orleans Saints. X-rays on the foot were negative and did not show any significant damage.
The Redskins' official twitter account gave an update on Garcon's practice status on Thursday:
Shanahan says WR @pierregarcon (foot) worked through drills in practice today. Classifies status for Sunday as a matter of "pain tolerance."

Garcon is expected to be a top producer for Washington in 2012 after a string of successful seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. He made an immediate impact in his first game with an 88-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Robert Griffin III. The fifth-year wide receiver out of Mount Union finished his Redskins debut with four catches for 109 yards and the aforementioned touchdown before leaving with the the foot injury.
