Marcell Dareus has returned to practice for the Buffalo Bills after missing Wednesday's session. Dareus had been with his family in Alabama after his younger brother, Simeon Gilmore, was killed during a burglary over the weekend.
The Bills typically do film study on Monday, take Tuesday off, and return to the practice field on Wednesday. Dareus returned to practice on Thursday, so he'll have missed both Wednesday's practice and the Bills' film sessions on Monday while mourning with his family. Dareus is expected to play in the Bills home opener on Sunday.
Dareus started all 16 games for the Bills last year, recording 43 tackles, 5.5 sacks and recovering a fumble. Dareus had a single tackle in the Bills opening weekend loss to the Jets.
Dareus and the Bills will be at home to face the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. The game can be seen on CBS.
