Packers Score On A Fake Field Goal

Stay connected with SB Nation

Offense has been hard to come by so far in Thursday night's game between the Packers and the Bears. Green Bay's field goal was the only scoring until the Packers struck again on special teams late in the second quarter.

Lined up in a field goal formation, Green Bay went for the fake. Punter Tim Masthay, the holder on the field goal unit, threw the ball to backup tight end Tim Crabtree, who ran it in for a 27-yard touchdown. Credit some excellent blocking from the Packers' linemen on the play too. Check it out.

If these two teams keep playing as tightly as they have been on defense, this could be the difference maker. Chicago needs to find some offense in the second half.
