Bears Vs. Packers, Update: Green Bay Leads 13-0 At The Half

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Green Bay Packers lead the Chicago Bears by a score of 13-0 in an early-season NFC North showdown in prime time on Thursday night. A touchdown off a fake field goal with just under two minutes left has been the lone offensive highlight for either team in a game marked mostly by defense.

Kicker Tim Masthay hit backup tight end Tom Crabtree, who ran it in for a 27-yard touchdown on the flawlessly executed fake. Green Bay got the ball back less than a minute later when Tramon Williams picked off Jay Cutler. The turnover resulted in the Packers' second field goal with a second left in the half.

Defense has been the rule, with both teams aggressive at the line of scrimmage. Chicago has a total of four sacks, including two from Julius Peppers. Green Bay has three sacks on the night so far, and Clay Matthews has been credited with one and a half.

Cutler is 4-for-9 with 37 yards and an interception. Aaron Rodgers is up to 14-for-21 for 128 yards after a slow start to the game. Cedric Benson has been an asset for Green Bay, rushing for 45 yards on 11 carries.
