If this quarterback thing doesn't work out, maybe Robert Griffin III should give the afternoon show hosting gig a try. His attempts to inspire the other Redskins players got the feature treatment on Sunday NFL Countdown on Sunday, and there were no better soundbites than the ones provided by wide receiver Santana Moss.
"It's my twelfth year, and I've done had about 12 quarterbacks," Moss said on ESPN. He then went on to talk about having an elite QB like Tom Brady and Peyton Manning, indicating that RGIII could be there some day.
The first-year signal caller out of Baylor certainly has his teammates buying in publicly, and a big part of that is through his maxims and simplified rally calls, one of which was the KnowYourWhy hashtag, asking his teammates (and others) to share why they work for their goals.
Between the socks, the action figures and the handwritten messages in his locker like "Conquer Every Obstacle," Griffin looks to be trying to lead by example, and performances like his 320-yard, two touchdown debut certainly won't hurt.
