Earlier on Sunday, Fox cut to former NFL VP of officiating Mike Pereira taking the replacement refs to task. Less than an hour later, it was Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco offering his take on the fill-in officials who are helping save the NFL a little extra money in these tough times.
Flacco said that the replacements were "affecting the integrity of the game," as reported by NFL.com. The Ravens' quarterback even pointed out one of the highlight moments from the officials in his game against the Ravens.
He didn't even throw a flag, he threw a blue beanie.
Expect complaints about the replacement referees to continue, because they really look way, way out of their league.
Pereira was set off by a string of missed calls in the Redskins game against the Rams in St. Louis. Fox showed him taking the league to task for threatening to dilute the product on the field.
