No one gave the Arizona Cardinals a chance in Week 2 against the New England Patriots, but Kevin Kolb and the Cards held on late as they pulled to 20-18 upset on the road. It took a missed field goal from Stephen Gostkowski in the final seconds of the game, but the ball sailed wild-left and clinched a perfect 2-0 record to start Arizona's season.
SB Nation's Cardinals blog, Revenge of the Birds, was pretty excited about the big road victory:
No one believed it could happen, but the Arizona Cardinals went into Foxborough and defeated the New England Patriots 20-18 by a strong performance by the Arizona defense, a passing touchdown and a running touchdown by Kevin Kolb and a Stephen Gostkowski missed field goal at the end of the game.
The site also had some fun with GIFs and a couple of great photos of stunned Patriots fans.
The Cardinals will celebrate the win before beginning preparations for the Philadelphia Eagles next weekend, who are also undefeated.
