Texans Vs. Jaguars, Week 2: All Momentum Lost In Jacksonville

Stay connected with SB Nation

Coming off a heartbreaking loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1, the Jacksonville Jaguars had the opportunity to host and perhaps top the divisional favorite on Sunday, as the team squared up against the Houston Texans. Unfortunately for the Jaguars that didn't happen, as the organization in transition fell to their divisional rivals by the score of 27-7.

Brandon Clark of SB Nation's Jacksonville Jaguars blog, Big Cat Country, senses all momentum is lost and believes the Jaguars were simply outmatched by a more talented team.

To be frank, the real story of this game simply stands as a show for the Texans job in acquiring talent. They've simply acquired more talent than the Jaguars acquired in the same amount of time. I'm not here to bash GM Gene Smith and his guys on their job of bringing talent in to this team, but I do want to point out that the Jags were outmatched.
