It was not a pleasant weekend to be a fan of the New England Patriots. Not only did the team suffer a shocking home loss to the Arizona Cardinals, but the team saw tight end Aaron Hernandez leave the field with an ankle injury. He is expected to miss up to six weeks for the Patriots.
Hernandez wasn't the only important injury on Sunday. The New York Giants lost Ahmad Bradshaw to an injured neck. He sat out most of Sunday's game and could miss the team's next contest, as the Giants have a short week before playing the Carolina Panthers on Thursday.
The most substantial injury, though, seems to have been suffered by Washington Redskins defensive end Adam Carriker, who could be out for the season with a knee injury.
