Jason Kelce Injury: Eagles Lose C For The Season, According To Report

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Philadelphia Eagles will be without center Jason Kelce the rest of the season due to a knee injury suffered against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, according to Derrick Gunn.

Most believe that Kelce tore his ACL on a play in the third quarter. If it's indeed the case and Kelce is gone for the entire year, it would be a big blow to an already weakened offensive line with Jason Peters on the shelf.

The injury is made all the more tough to deal with because of how well Kelce was growing. The 2011 sixth-round draft pick out of Cincinnati made an immediate impact last year. Kelce started all 16 games and made a much stronger showing than first-round selection Danny Watkins, who struggled to get his feet under him.

With Kelce out of the lineup, the onus will fall on Dallas Reynolds. Reynolds, 28, has one year of experience in the NFL.
