Adam Carriker's Injury Is Season-Ending

Washington Redskins defensive tackle Adam Carriker will miss the rest of the season with a quad tendon tear, according to head coach Mike Shanahan.

Carriker was injured on the second play from scrimmage and watched the remainder of the game on crutches from the sideline. Carriker has played in every game with the Redskins since being signed by the team in 2010. Last season he recorded 34 total tackles, 19 solo, as well as 5.5 sacks. In 2010, he recorded 37 total tackles, 22 solo, with 1.5 sacks.

Jarvis Jenkins is expected to replace Carriker at defensive tackle and defensive end Doug Worthington has been activated from the practice squad.
