The Patriots are almost never underdogs and they pack a mean bite in that role. Will the Ravens feel the bite in Week 3? Can the Bears and Saints cover as the week's biggest favorites?
A pair of teams coming off humbling losses are the two biggest favorites on the Week 3 NFL opening odds menu, just days after underdogs paid off bigtime.
And one team that is almost never an underdog finds itself in that role as well.
Chicago was handled by Green Bay, but opened as 10-point chalk against the visiting St. Louis Rams. That number was quickly bet down to -7.5 at several books, including Top Bet.
And New Orleans, now sitting 0-2 after losing twice as favorites so far in 2012, opened as 9.5-point home chalk against the Chiefs, a team that has been hammered twice already.

New England opened as 2.5-point underdogs at Baltimore, just the sixth time since 2009 that the Pats have been underdogs. In case you were wondering, they are 5-1 ATS in those games. Go back to 2006 and they are 10-3 ATS in 13 games as a dog, according to the NFL odds database.
Home underdogs were 4-0 SU and ATS in Week 2 and there are eight home underdogs in Week 3 (nine if the line moves against Denver as expected as they host Houston).
There are only six unbeaten teams after two weeks and that number is a sure bet to dwindle in Week 3, because the Arizona Cardinals host the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Diego Chargers host the Atlanta Falcons.
