Ravens safety Bernard Pollard says he's "ready to go" for Baltimore's Week 3 matchup against the Patriots. Pollard bruised his ribs in the Ravens' loss to the Eagles last Sunday while sacking Michael Vick. He went to the locker room in the second quarter and returned to the sidelines with his shoulder pads off. The veteran safety has 10 tackles, a sack, and an interception through the first two weeks of the season.
The Ravens will want all hands on deck when they face Tom Brady and the Patriots' offense. Brady is all too familiar with Pollard, as the safety was the one who knocked the superstar quarterback out for the 2008 season with a knee injury in Week 1. Amazingly, Pollard was also the approaching tackler when Wes Welker tore his knee on the Houston turf and he was the defender who landed on tight end Rob Gronkowski's ankle in the AFC Championship last year.

Baltimore Ravens safety Bernard Pollard has left Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with an apparent chest injury. He's already returned to the sidelines after a trip to the locker room, but he's no longer wearing his pads, making a possible return to the game quite unlikely.
Pollard appeared to suffer the injury while sacking quarterback Michael Vick in the second quarter, leaving the game immediately following that play. After heading to the locker room, Pollard received X-rays on his chest to assess the situation, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.
Earlier in the game, Pollard displayed his impressive skills by diving to intercept a Vick pass in the end zone as the Eagles were nearing a touchdown. Since being acquired by Baltimore before the 2011 season, Pollard has appeared in every game for the Ravens, making 15 starts including Sunday.
