St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson was listed as day-to-day on the Rams latest injury report. Jackson injured his groin last week in the Rams' win over the Washington Redskins, and he missed practice on Wednesday while nursing the injury.
Jackson has had nagging injuries for most of his career, so this is nothing new. Jackson wasn't declared as out for the Rams' upcoming game against the Chicago Bears, and the MRI on his groin came back negative.
Behind Jackson on the depth chart are Daryl Richardson and Isaiah Pead. Richardson ran for 83 yards on 15 carries and totaled 19 yards on two receptions against the Redskins, so he would likely be the one to step in as the primary running back if Jackson misses any time. Pead has yet to see any time outside of special teams.
