The Miami Dolphins have named eight players to their practice squad in preparation for the start of the regular season, The Palm Beach Post's Ben Volin reported late Sunday.
Among those named to the squad was former Oregon linebacker Josh Kaddu and safety Anderson Russell. The full list of practice squad players is as follows:
- Offensive tackle Chandler Burden
- Offensive tackle Andrew McDonald
- Linebacker Jonathan Freeny
- Linebacker Josh Kaddu
- Receiver Jeff Fuller
- Receiver Chris Hogan
- Cornerback DeAndre Presley
- Safety Anderson Russell
You might remember Chris Hogan from his star turn as part of the Dolphin's run as the team featured in HBO's Hard Knocks, where he earned the praise of teammates and the nickname "7-11."
Freeny, a distant cousin of the Indianapolis Colts' Dwight Freeny, originally signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent during the 2011 offseason. Presley, a rookie out of Appalachian State, spent the beginning of camp with the San Diego Chargers.
