The Tampa Bay Buccaneers travel to Dallas as heavy underdogs in the Cowboys home opener.
The Dallas Cowboys host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday as significant favorites. The Cowboys opened as nine-point-favorites for their home opener, but the line has since come down to eight points at most sportsbooks.
The Cowboys did not do well as favorites in Week 2, losing to the Seahawks 27-7, though the line was set at three points. Despite the loss, the Cowboys are still touchdown favorites for Week 3. Meanwhile, the Bucs moved to 2-0 against the spread this season with their 41-34 loss to the Giants in Week 2, covering the seven-and-a-half points. The Cowboys have also played the Giants this year, covering as three-and-a-half-point-underdogs with a 24-17 victory in their Week 1 matchup.
The total for the game opened at 45 points, but has since risen to 46.5 points in most places. The Cowboys rank 29th in the NFL with only 31 points, but rank 11th in yardage with 729.
