Placekicker Lawrence Tynes has tacked on field goals of 47-and 49-yards for the Giants as New York didn't have a problem methodically reaching Panther territory for much of the half, racking up 303 total offensive yards.
Running back Andre Brown, starting in place of the injured Ahmad Bradshaw, punched in New York's second touchdown of the half from just outside the goal line early in the second quarter to increase their lead to 17-0. Brown has rushed for 96 yards on 13 carries in the first half.
Newton went 5-for-12 passing for 90 yards and an interception through two quarters, as Carolina as only totaled 122 yards of offense.
