There are hazards of attempting to ice a kicker at the last moment. Sure, it might throw off the kickers rhythm. Or, a coach could also completely mess up his own team, negating a great, game-saving play.
Enter the Miami Dolphins.
This is Joe Philbin icing Nick Folk with a last-second timeout in overtime.
Why did he do a double-take? Because the play went on and the Dolphins blocked the kick, of course.
So that didn't count. The Dolphins saved the game and it didn't count because of the ridiculous "icing the kicker" notion. See the players with their arms out? That's not a good thing: They're asking "why did you do that?"

Yeah, that about sums it up. Giggling, laughing, clapping like mad. He's all giddy because his Jets proceeded to easily make the second kick, winning the game in overtime.
Friends don't let friends ice the kicker, you guys.
