Following an attempted deep pass to wide receiver Andre Johnson, Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub took a huge shot from two defenders on a roughing the passer call that took him out for one play.
The broadcast team claimed Schaub was bleeding out of his left ear following the shot, but it was not shown on TV. T.J. Yates warmed up on the sideline, and came in for one snap, but he returned quickly and Schaub doesn't appear to have any lasting symptoms from the hit, thanks to a few pills on the sideline.

The primary offender was Joe Mays, who Mike Pereira had some choice comments on via Twitter
That shot by Mays on Schaub should be an ejection and should be a $50k fine. At least. That's vicious.

We'll see if the Broncos' LB will be hearing from the league shortly, and we'll see if Schaub will ever hear again.
