Bengals Vs. Redskins, Week 3: Washington To Have Nightmares About Cincinnati's Offense

Stay connected with SB Nation

Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals exposed some weaknesses in the Washington Redskins defense, as Bengals' quarterback Andy Dalton carved up the Redskins' secondary for 328 passing yards -- wide receiver A.J. Green alone had nine receptions for 183 of those yards.

Cincinnati's offensive output and the lack of offensive line protection from the Redskins led to Washington losing its second game in as many weeks. The loss has writers at the SB Nation blog Hogs Haven worrying about the team's nightmarishly bad secondary for the next few days.

For the third week in a row we allowed an opposing quarterback to carve up our secondary like a Thanksgiving turkey. So far on this young season, the Redskins defense has allowed 101 points, 955 passing yards and 10 passing touchdowns. This is not acceptable!

Hogs Haven lists many other things that will give it nightmares after its team's second straight loss in its post-game reaction.

Next week, the Redskins travel to Tampa Bay to play the Buccaneers, with kickoff set for 4:25 p.m. ET.
