The 49ers are favorites on the road as they visit the Jets on Sunday.
The San Francisco 49ers will be 4-point road favorites when they travel to MetLife Stadium and face the New York Jets at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. This will mark the second-straight week the 49ers are favored on the road. They were unable to cover last Sunday, losing to the Minnesota Vikings.
The game is expected to be a low-scoring, defensive battle, with the over/under currently set at 40. The Jets struggled on offense in the preseason, and have been inconsistent in the regular season. The one tough defense they have faced was the Pittsburgh, who held them to ten points. The 49ers will provide a similar challenge while playing a run-first, clock-killing style of offense.
Both teams come into the game with 2-1 records. The 49ers posted two impressive wins over the Packers and Lions before falling to the Vikings. The Jets dominated the Bills, before losing to the Steelers and rebounding with a win over the Dolphins.
