Ryan Tannehill may have had his doubters on draft night, but now he's broken Dan Marino's single-game team rookie passing record.
It has been quite the day for Ryan Tannehill, as he's brought his team back against the Arizona Cardinals. He's also managed to break Dan Marino's record for passing yards in a single game by a Miami Dolphins' rookie, following this 80-yard touchdown pass to Brian Hartline.
This pass put Tannehill at 24-for-37, 418 yards, with one touchdown and an interception. He'd go on to finish with 431 yards on Sunday.
Hartline would not be denied, as he caught the pass without anyone around, outran the safety, and when there was even a risk that he'd get ankle-tackled, he flew through the air with the greatest of ease. Ryan Tannehill's game has been outstanding, but Hartline has been having a dream day, too, as he now has 11 receptions for 245 yards and a TD.
The Dolphins converted the two-point conversion to make it 21-14, but the Cardinals scored a touchdown with just 22 seconds reaming to tie the game, and then won in overtime on a Jay Feely 46-yard field goal.
