Michael Vick On Track To Return From Injury

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is on schedule to start in Sunday's season opener at the Cleveland Browns (1 p.m. ET on FOX), a report from Philadelphia Inquirer writer Zach Berman said Tuesday.

Vick, who's recovering from a rib injury he suffered in an Aug. 20 preseason game, took all the first-team reps Monday and said he felt all but healed.

"My arm felt fresh and my legs felt good," Vick said. "I threw the ball really well, and I had a chance to make some throws that I haven't made in a long time. It felt good to be back, and I'm extremely excited."

On Sunday, Vick is expected to wear a custom-fitted Kevlar flak jacket to provide more protection to his ribs.
