The Chicago Bears have had Brian Urlacher back in practice since Monday, and are expecting him to play on Sunday in the team's season opener against the Indianapolis Colts. But if Urlacher plays, will he be limited? Not according to a Tweet from Sean Jensen of the Chicago Sun-Times, which has a quote from Urlacher that says the exact opposite:
#Bears LB Brian Urlacher on if he'll finish the game: "I plan on playing the whole game. Like every other game."
— Sean Jensen (@seankjensen) September 6, 2012
Urlacher underwent arthroscopic surgery on Aug. 14 and fans quickly were worried that the oft-injured linebacker would be missing even more regular season time. In fact, Urlacher was the only person to really insist that he'd be ready for the first game and that there'd be no chance of him being limited until recently.
If he's good to go for the entirety of the game, it will certainly be a help for the Bears, though they've been favorites against Indianapolis even when his status was up in the air. Urlacher would be facing a Colts offense that features rookie quarterback Andrew Luck, and he'd certainly like to make sure here's there to welcome him to the NFL.
