The Minnesota Vikings listed star running back Adrian Peterson (knee) as questionable for Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the injury report the team released on Friday. Head coach Leslie Frazier says Peterson will be a game-time decision for the season opener. The former Oklahoma standout has been working hard to recover from surgery he underwent to repair the the torn ACL he suffered last December, but he only managed limited participation in practices on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week.
Peterson has been hinting that we would like to give it a go, and even told reporters that missing Week 1 would be a "hard pill to swallow," but the team is going to be careful to protect the health of their best offensive player.
The Vikings host the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, Sept. 9 in their 2012 NFL regular season opener.
