Matt Schaub and The Houston Texans host Ryan Tannehil and the Miami Dolphins in Week 1 of the 2012 NFL season.

The Houston Texans will host the Miami Dolphins in Week 1 of the 2012 NFL season. The Texans enter the 2012 season as the defenind AFC South champions, looking to one-up the 2011 season's accomplishment of the first playoff game in franchise history. The Miami Dolphins enter the year playing their first game under head coach Joe Philbin, looking to get back on track after finishing 6-10 in 2011.

The Texans will likely have both quarterback Matt Schaub and five-time Pro Bowl wide reciever Andre Johnson on the field at the same time, something frequently lacking in 2011. Rookie Whitney Mercilus and former Cowboy Bradie James anchor the defense, looking to improve a unit that was 4th in points allowed last season.

Miami will be starting rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill, the eighth overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. They'll look to Reggie Bush to take some pressure of Tannehill. Bush rushed for a career-high 1,086 yards in 2011, his first season in Miami.

Both teams have something to prove in Week 1. From the looks of it, the Dolphins will have a harder time proving it.

Game Time: 1:00 p.m. ET

Television Coverage: CBS

Odds: Houston favored by 13
