If you missed it, Robert Griffin III is ready for prime time. The second pick in the 2012 NFL Draft looked comfortable, strong and relaxed in his first half against the New Orleans Saints, throwing for 196 yards and two scores to go with 30 rushing yards.
And SB Nation correspondent Amy K. Nelson wants to welcome RGIII to the party.
Griffin won over Redskins fans -- and fans of the NFL at large -- during the NFL Combine with his friendly demeanor and varied skillset. It's looking like Washington's decision to trade a stable of future draft picks to move up and select the former Baylor Bear might not be such a bad idea after all.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Browns, who were also in the RG3 sweepstakes way back in April, are living with rookie Brandon Weeden, who is 7-19 for 68 yards and two interceptions. Hey, it's only one game, but I think the Redskins are pretty happy.
