It didn't come easy, but the Philadelphia Eagles were able to grind out a 17-16 win over the Cleveland Browns Sunday. The Eagles trailed late until they mounted a drive in the game's final moments, with Michael Vick completing a 4-yard pass to Clay Harbor with 1:18 left in the game.
Box Score Hero: LeSean McCoy
LeSean McCoy carried the Eagles' offense today, and it was puzzling that they didn't go to him more, given Vick's struggles. He had 110 yards on 20 carries and was consistently able to pick up big first downs.
Quarterbacks Struggle
Brandon Weeden had a rough debut as the Cleveland Browns' starting quarterback, completing just 12-of-35 passes for 118 yards and four interceptions. The sense of panic could be felt at Cleveland Browns Stadium immediately, and he'll need to get back on track quickly.
Eagles quarterback Michael Vick didn't do much better, completing 29-of-56 passes for 317 yards. Vick also threw four interceptions, including one returned by D'Quell Jackson for a touchdown that was the only Browns TD on the afternoon.
Richardson Quiet
Trent Richardson also made his debut for the Browns today, where he had a quiet day of rushing for just 39 yards on 19 carries. He did bring some life to the crowd though, with this trucking of an Eagles defender.
