Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy is drawing the interest of the Buffalo Bills, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, via Twitter. Buffalo is making major changes to their organizational structure, and they consider McCoy a candidate to fill their head coaching vacancy.
Buffalo has asked permission to interview McCoy, though Denver cannot actually deny McCoy the opportunity to interview for the gig because it is considered a promotion from his current position. Still, the Bills will likely have to wait since McCoy will be focused on his current role, as the Broncos are currently in the playoffs with a first-round bye.
McCoy has also been linked to the Arizona Cardinals and the Chicago Bears, and both teams have asked for permission to interview him, as well. In the past two seasons, McCoy has led teams quarterbacked by Tim Tebow and Peyton Manning to the playoffs. Obviously, one of those is a bit more impressive than the other.
