The expert picks around the Internet are in and the New England Patriots are overwhelming favorites to take down the Houston Texans.
The Houston Texans and New England Patriots are set to play on Sunday, in a rematch of a regular season game that was as decisive as you can get in the NFL. The Patriots dominated the Texans the first time around, with Tom Brady falling just short of 300 yards (with 296) but boasting four touchdowns to his credit.
New England took that matchup by a score of 42-14 on Monday Night Football, and now they're coming off a bye week, with plenty of preparation to repeat their performance.
They're heavily favored, and if the picks around the Internet are anything to go by, the Patriots will be playing in the AFC Championship Game. CBS Sports had their experts pick the game, with guys like Jason La Canfora, Pete Prisco and Clark Judge making picks, along with five others (plus their "prediction machine"). All eight experts ended up picking the Patriots to win.
Yahoo's three experts in Mike Silver, Jason Cole and Les Carpenter also all picked the Patriots, as are the majority of Yahoo users.
Lastly, we come to Joel Thorman's picks over at SB Nation. Thorman expresses his desire for the Texans to walk away as the victors, but he doesn't take them to win it. He thinks the Patriots will win by more than two touchdowns on Sunday, picking them to take it all, 35-20.
