The Falcons wideout takes some shots at the Seahawks quarterback in advance of Sunday's game.
Seattle cornerbacks Richard Sherman and Brandon Browner are among the best duos in the league at shutting down opponent's wide receivers. They're also two of the louder corners in the league, continually talking noise in the press before the game, and then getting chippy on the field.
The matchup between these two and Atlanta receivers Roddy White and Julio Jones will be extremely entertaining on Sunday. White entered the fray to take some shots of his own this week, incredulously stating that Russell Wilson is not comparable to Matt Ryan (via Doug Farrar):
"If Russell Wilson is a better quarterback than Matt Ryan, then I don't know nothing about football. I'm going to quit. I'm going to retire before this game starts,'' White said. "Matt is ready to go. We're ready to go. We want to go out there and show everybody that we can win a playoff game.''
Both guys are two of the best young quarterbacks in the league. But despite White's statement, Wilson already has one more playoff win than Ryan -- a narrative that will be hammered into your head often at the Georgia Dome on Sunday.
Wilson was not as hyped as fellow rookies RGIII and Andrew Luck, but he's the only first-year quarterback still playing -- an expert at shrugging off the doubters and #overcomingadversity with "leadership, heart, passion" and all those other intangibles. You can count Roddy among those doubters, adding to the drama and chippiness on Sunday.
