Bob Babich will serve as Gus Bradley's defensive coordinator in Jacksonville, according to the Florida Times-Union.
Gus Bradley is wasting no time filling out his coaching staff.
Not long after naming Jedd Fisch offensive coordinator, the Jacksonville Jaguars came to an agreement with Bob Babich (via the Florida Time Union), who will serve as Bradley's defensive coordinator.
Babich has served as an assistant on the Chicago Bears' coaching staff since the 2004 season, originally serving as the linebackers coach, before being promoted to defensive coordinator between 2007-09. Babich returned to his role as linebackers coach in 2010, and served in the same role since.
Per Ryan O'Halloran, Bradley and Babich worked together at North Dakota State. Bradley served as Babich's defensive coordinator when Babich was the head coach for the Bison between 1997-2002.
Babich will have his work cut out for him in Jacksonville. The Jaguars ranked No. 30 in the NFL against the run in 2012, allowing opponents to rush for 141 yards per game. Jacksonville's defense ranked No. 22 against the pass, allowing 239.5 passing yards per game.
